In flight with the Trojan Horsemen!

During Mountainfest 2009 held in Fort Drum in June 2009, an opportunity to fly with the Trojan Horsemen was given to me and I could not say 'no'. The Trojan Horsemen are a T-28 Warbird Aerobatic Formation Demonstration Team supporting the Veterans Airlift Command. The team performs at Air Shows across the United States every year. This was my first flight in a T-28 and I really enjoyed it. The aircraft is quite stable, the cockpit is roomy and all my focus was on the T-28s flying alongside mine. I flew number 3 in a five-ship formation on the Friday prior to the air show in Fort Drum. I really wanted to fly in number 5 to get a shot of the four other T-28s in formation but an Army guy with a videocamera got the seat! I went up and came back from the flight with some good shots one more time! Special thanks to 'Joe' and the folks from the Trojan Horsemen!
